In the early years of the Republic of China, refugees were everywhere. An accountant, a beggar, a hunter, a castrator, and a barefoot doctor traveled together. On the way, they were so hungry that they absurdly took up arms and became bandits. They shouted the slogan “rob money, rob food, rob women” and began their career as robbers. When they arrived at Shikuo Village and prepared to rob, they found that the plague had spread in the village and it had become a ghost village.
